Believers Notes ("we", "our", or "the Service") is operated by ShommyX Technologies Inc. ("Company", "we", "us", or "our"), based in Canada.
We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our platform.
We collect information to provide and improve our services.
When you use Believers Notes, you may provide: name, email address, organization or church name, contact details, and any data you enter into the platform — including sermon titles, transcripts, personal notes, and audio recordings of live sermons you choose to broadcast.
When a pastor starts a Live Sermon, audio is streamed to our servers, transcribed by AI, and the transcript is stored alongside the note. Audio is retained only when the broadcaster opts in to keep the recording. Transcripts and AI summaries are visible only to your church members unless you generate a public share link.
We automatically collect certain information, including: login activity, device and browser type, IP address, pages visited, and feature usage.
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, improve platform performance, and understand usage patterns. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some features may not function properly.
We use your information to: provide and operate the Service, transcribe and summarize sermons you record, manage your account, send notifications and updates, improve and develop new features, respond to support requests, and ensure security and prevent fraud.
You retain full ownership of your notes, transcripts, and recordings. You can export your data at any time (PDF, share link). We do not sell your data. We do not use your sermon content to train AI models. We only process your data to provide the Service.
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We may share data only in the following cases:
We use trusted third-party providers to operate our platform, including transcription engines (e.g. Deepgram, AssemblyAI), AI summarization providers (e.g. Anthropic), payment processors (e.g. Stripe), cloud hosting providers, and email and notification services. These providers only access data as needed and are bound by confidentiality obligations.
We may disclose your information if required to comply with legal obligations, protect our rights or property, or prevent fraud or abuse.
We implement industry-standard security measures, including HTTPS encryption, secure cloud infrastructure, and access control and authentication. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We retain your data only as long as necessary to provide our services. Active accounts: data is retained while your account is active. Trashed notes: held for 7 days then permanently deleted (you can restore within that window). Deleted accounts: data is permanently removed after a 30-day grace period.
You have the right to: access your personal data, request correction of inaccurate data, request deletion of your data, export your notes, and withdraw consent where applicable.

Your information may be stored and processed in countries outside your jurisdiction, including Canada and other locations where our service providers operate. We take appropriate safeguards to ensure your data remains protected.
